/26: While Amazon has finally acquired the James Bond franchise,
it’s chairman, Jeff Bezos, seems to be bending to a nemesis more sinister, mean, cruel and more bent on destroying the world than any of Bond’s worst adversaries. You can see this happening in real time as Bezos continues to turn The Washington Post into a meaningless rag. And Trump, the real life incarnation of Blofeld, is just getting started! — Hey Double O Seven and M,, where are you when we need you?
2/25: I am less concerned about Trump’s trampling on Americans.
|We are strong, resourceful, and resilient enough to survive the onslaught. I am, however, very concerned about how Trump is destroying our relationship with the rest of the world and flipping the respect we’ve earned since our inception for our hitherto-now steadfast and consistent support of global values.
2/24: John Simpson of the BBC noted that
“there are years when the world goes through some fundamental, convulsive change” and that 2025 is on track to be one of them: “a time when the basic assumptions about the way our world works are fed into the shredder.”
“Today, I am a European. I am no longer American in my mind. I was originally in favor of giving in to Putin’s no NATO demands but now, this war must be won. The Europeans must send military assistance and men to fight in Ukraine. Russia is at its weakest. And Putin will not use the nuclear option. He doesn’t want St Petersburg to turn into melted glass.
This war now needs to be won. The US is now the outlier in the world of politics. But that’s nothing new to me. I once fled the US in the late 1970s to live in Florence, Italy. It was a breath of fresh air. When the Euros open a donation post, I’ll donate.
Today, I am European. “ — Bill Katz, Substack
Right. Don’t be ashamed. Be proud that our past reputation of bravery will inspire us to continue the fight to quickly eliminate this God-forsaken scum and restore the true American that the world respected.
2/23: A parent(s) who mistreats their child(ren
risks perpetuating a monster.
The Democrats need to urgently create an entire shadow government so that we can impeach not only the president but the entire administration and be fully ready to quickly step in it’s place.
“Opponents end up arguing about his narratives regardless of how grounded they are in fact,” said Dr. Zelizer. “This has put President Trump in a perpetual position of advantage since he decides the terms of debate rather than anyone seeking to stop him.” — NYT

Please King Elon don’t take my job!
My accomplishments last week.
1. Took a crap on my gold toilet.
2. Played golf like a champion.
3. Declared my allegiance to Russia and insulted Europe and Ukraine.
4. Sold some invisible trading cards and crypto coins with my name on them.
5. Followed your instructions to a T.
Your friend, Donald
2/22: This early bird gets the worm
but the night worm gets to live another day.
Trumpigula — the rotten egg in your Caeser Salad. He named his horse as the secretary of defense. Who will play the part of Brutus? (Hitler had the generals)
See Maureen Dowd’s aptly written New York Times opinion piece, “Fail, Caesar!”
2/21: Yay Gov. Janet Mill
for standing up to (King Shit) Trump.
Don’t allow a sequel to the 1938 Munich Betrayal. On September 30, 1938, Germany, the United Kingdom, France and Italy signed the Munich Agreement, which sanctioned Adolf Hitler’s annexation of the German-speaking Sudetenland region of Czechoslovakia.
It is about to happen in Riyahd Saudi Arabia where Trump will sanction Putin’s Ukraine annexation.
One has to consider that one quite dark possibility — something akin to what China is doing with social control via technology — is that Musk is going to use this data to train AI. Theoretically, at least, if it were successful, such an AI could be used to determine which American citizens were “insufficiently patriotic” in right-wing terms, and punish them for it by withholding or terminating benefits, implementing targeted forms of tax penalties, or subjecting them to various forms of surveillance, for starters. Voter intimidation also comes to mind. At worst, citizens could be subject to police harassment, arrest and detainment, and any number of other abuses. We have to start accepting the fact that such. — Michael Borum
You are right, Michael. You just raised an EXTREME AND EXISTENTIAL POSSIBILITY. This threat needs to be broadcast widely and loudly. That is Musk is vacuuming up all possible information about each of us that is in the government’s coffers. Then feed this data to his AI monster to chew up all of us “non-conformists.
2/20: Look, if Trump’s tariffs
and his simultaneous removal of subsidies for green vehicles, if he’s able to implement that, our car companies — particularly Ford and General Motors — could get crushed. This is not a small thing. It’s just math.
I’ve kind of given up on politics when dealing with Trump because at least until the midterms, there are no levers to pull. The Senate is all in on him. The House is all in on him. The Supreme Court is all in on him. His media ecosystem’s all in on him. I’m now entirely betting on physics, on the hard realities of things. You cannot move 2.2 million Palestinians from Gaza physically. And you are not going to get Ukraine to just surrender to Russia because you bat your eyes at them.
There is the hard physics of things, and one of the physics is that our auto industry cannot survive in a world where the steel components it needs get tariffed by 25 percent and you basically crush the EV incentives. The physics of that, the math is not going to add up, and all you have to do is look at the Ford stock price to see it.
They say the market is a voting machine and then it’s a weighing machine. And when you weigh the weight of these things, they don’t add up. If this weren’t my country, Pat, I’d put my feet up, grab some popcorn and watch the show. What a show! But it is my country.
Trump is driving, we’re all in the back seat, and I think he’s heading into a wall." — NYT Thomas Friedman
Nationalize Space X! Merge it into NASA. Pay a fire sale price because ex-citizen Musk will be on his way to Robben Island South Africa (In chains!)
I’m sure martial law IS INDEED part of the plan and a main goal of this current crash and burn effort. So we must be especially vigilant about providing even a weak excuse for this to happen. In other words, let’s not play into THEIR hands. And keep watch on Peter Thiel.
I will be there with my sign showing how, in 1936, Hitler was seen at the Olympics in Munich, riding in his car at the stadium, and patrons were gibing the Nazi salute. Beneath that picture is another but it is of Trump riding in his limo all around the racetrack. The message is very clear.
Yep, all part of the plan all along...
"If Trump triumphant returns to office in 2024, his first goal must not be to use power, but to take power—to relentlessly grow the scope of his office by bold, decisive action. And the proper arena for this action is foreign policy....
"What Trump needs is not just enormous actions, but enormous wins—as soon as possible, as big as possible....
"The goal of a Trumpist foreign policy in Europe is to withdraw American influence from Europe. This will guarantee the defeat of liberalism on the Continent....
"Trump should give Russia a free hand not just in Russian-speaking territories—but all the way to the English Channel... [and create] an absolute, Tsarist-style monarchy."...

Written in 2022 by Curtis Yarvin, the architect and a co-conspirator engaged in a coup that is committing treason against the United States, actively destroying our democratic government from the inside, and replacing it with a monarchy.

2/19: The King is dead! Long live Democracy!
Trump and Musk — is it President Trusk, or just plain Trusk? Like, "Never trust a Trusk!" And then there’s Donald in his high chair throwing his porridge everywhere and ranting, "Where’s my candy cane crown?" I’m surprised he didn’t rename Mt. Denali, Mt. Donaldi 🙄
2/18: On Trump making America a pariah nation:
“In the past, you assumed that this was a serious, competent country,” Professor Freedman said of America. “It’s unnerving to think that might not be the case. There is a sense that the guardrails just aren’t there.” He said that Mr. Trump’s goals were harder to decipher; his drive for untrammeled power at home has been deeply alarming to Europeans. — NYT
2/12: Where are the affluent individuals
who recognize the importance of safeguarding both their wealth and our democratic values, which contribute to their success? We invite their support in ensuring the safety of Republican congressmen who aspire to uphold their oaths and convictions by resisting the Musk/Trump/Vance usurpation of America.
This asshole thinks his snot rag is a campaign ribbon. Who’s he kidding. That earns negative respect to any soldier.
2/11: "Last night, Republicans voted to confirm Russell Vought
as the head of the Office of Management and Budget. Vought is really the intellectual architect of a lot of the ideas we’ve been discussing, in terms of this really aggressive vision of executive power. The fact that Republicans voted to confirm someone who has explicitly said that the executive has the power to impound funds is an astonishing abdication of duty.
"So there are a lot of different components to the crisis that we’re currently in. But the unwillingness of Congress as an institution to really step up and play its role in the constitutional order is one of the major issues that we are facing right now." — Quinta Jurecic, NYT
2/10: Can citizens organize a recall of Federal Executive Office elected officials?
Such as the president and vice president? If so, would it trump (no pun intended) an impeachment trial? And how can it get started and how could it be enforced?
2/9: SUPER BOWL SUNDAY — LIX
Today marks Super Bowl LIX, a cultural event that often draws people together for socializing and celebrating. However, I’ve decided to skip this year’s game. It’s not because I’m anti-football or anti-socializing. In fact, I enjoy both. But my reason for not watching is to protest the commercialization of this precious cultural event so destroyed by billionaire oligarchs.
Now, I don’t have any issues with billionaires, athletic stars, or advertisers in general. They all contribute to society in their own way. But the intense competition and commercialism surrounding the Super Bowl have become unhealthy and detrimental.
It’s not just the teams and players who suffer. The advertisers and billionaires themselves are caught up in the pressure to outshine their competitors. This pressure can lead to neglect of other important aspects of life, such as social skills and the well-being of their constituents.
Teams often prioritize hiring the best players over the needs of their fans, and athletes are pushed to the brink of physical exhaustion in pursuit of success. The advertisers, in turn, face the pressure to pay astronomical advertising fees, which may compromise product development and product quality.
Finally, the billionaires’ focus on wealth-building often comes at the expense of the civilization that brought them success. This commercialization of the Super Bowl has turned it into a spectacle that is more about money and fame than about the sport itself.
And gives the fans a false reason to have fun.
2/7: Social media is the new nuclear weapon!
I roundly reject using ALL popular social media until they change their algorithms to spread love and joy instead of fear and hatred. You should, too. After all, they are all owned by the billionaire oligarchs who best control you through fear and hatred. Only you can change that by hitting their pocketbooks where it hurts!
2/6: ELON MUSK ON PARADE
Representative Mark Pocan (D-WI) announced he would introduce the ELON MUSK Act—the Eliminate Looting of Our Nation by Mitigating Unethical State Kleptocracy Act—which would ban federal contracts for Special Government Employees, similar to the bans for members of Congress and other federal employees.
— “Technology has completely transformed politics, and most people don’t even realize it.
“Being sensible in modern American politics is nearly impossible because social media algorithms are designed to spark outrage. They push people to extremes because it’s profitable—because anger is addicting.
“And as politics has changed, so have our expectations for politicians. The 2020 Joe Biden brand of decency and kindness is dead. People don’t want decency anymore—they want someone who will fight for them fearlessly and viciously.
“They aren’t playing nice. They aren’t delivering measured outrage. They are calling things out for what they are, and doing so boldly and unapologetically. This is why they have more media appearances, more social media impressions, and more attention than most elected officials, including leadership, in the Democratic party.p
The sooner Democratic leadership understands this new landscape, the sooner we win. The sooner we take back majorities in legislative chambers, build momentum going into the midterms, and set the stage to defeat MAGA in the next Presidential election.
If Democrats don’t course correct and steer away from 2008-2012-2016 brands of “we’re the good guys!” messaging we will continue to lose. The fear of being labeled as mean or hateful has only hindered our ability to reach people who rightfully are outraged at what is happening not just here in America, but across the globe.” — the gist if Olivia Julianna’s post on Substack
— “Oligarchs like Musk will continue to have more and more power, and we less and less power, until we heed Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s warning that “the liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is fascism.”
"Repeatedly, the power of working people acting through their unions has brought down dictators—think Solidarity in Poland or the COSATU in South Africa—and many more.
"Thus, it is for us—as it was for those facing down the robber barons in this country and the rise of fascist movements here and in Europe—to recognize that rebuilding democracy and restoring shared prosperity has to begin with the robust democratic counterweight only unions can provide. There are no shortcuts or workarounds.” — The Contrarian
2/5: The world urgently needs an altruistic figure with the gumption like Elon Musk to confront and dismantle oppressive regimes, including strong-man, autocratic, and dictatorships. This individual should establish a comprehensive program to minimize the need for emigration – The cornerstones of a truly free world.
We have not been in more serious trouble since we almost lost the War of Independence. And this time we don’t have Lafayette to help us. And we’re letting it happen with our eyes wide open!
ALL of us are in this same airplane. Musky-Trump is at the controls of the locked cockpit and is flying us bang straight into that mountain ahead! (Why do they have parachutes on?)
2/4: You should always sit in a chair facing west because if the earth suddenly stops spinning, you will slam into the wall back first, thus possibly saving your life.
2/3: The ICC needs to issue an arrest warrant for Trump, Musk, Thiel, and every Republican in Congress for crimes against humanity for shuttering or allowing the shuttering of USAID and its programs.
— It’s just a name; Trump was halfway right about the name of the body of water that gouges our continent. The complete rename should be “The Gulf of North America” — or more specifically, “The Gulf of Southern North America” — or more blatantly, “The Great Gulf Between USA and Mexico.” In further thinking, the USA is the only country in North America that does NOT consist of genuinely united states.
– Congress should exercise its right to subpoena Elon Musk. If he refuses, Congress then has the authority to DENATURALIZE and deport him back to South Africa, where he can focus on resurrecting Apartheid. And, while they’re at it, do the same with Peter Thiel!
2/2: Canada ought to rename the Detroit River, the Windsor River and Lake Erie, Lake Quebec.
2/1: WE JUST GAVE THE KEYS TO THE KINGDOM TO ELON MUSK! He can now empty the coffers of Fort Knox with impunity. Thank you POTUS , congress and SCOTUS 😰
Musk and his team are CIVILIANS. They do not answer to the American people. They can’t be impeached!!! Is congress asleep? Did congress drink Musk’s elixir?
Fortunately, when he loads his thousand Tesla Trucks with the gold bars, he can only get as far as the batteries’ charge. That should give us time to shut down the grid.
“Elon Musk’s team has gotten access to the Treasury Department’s payments system.” — NYT
2/1: we need four new constitutional amendments.
- All American citizens have absolute control over their health and their body. This includes decisions concerning abortion and ending one’s life.
- No American citizen is immune to the law. This includes all members of the American government.
- The Supreme Court shall consist of 13 members each with a term of 13 years which are staggered such that one justice term shall expire each year. A justice can be reappointed but can only serve a maximum of three terms. No Supreme Court seat shall remain vacant longer than five months.
- The national anthem should be encoded within the constitution to be “America The Beautiful”. Replacing The Star Spangled Banner.”
